REO CPA Review continues to open doors for its students, not only in helping them prepare for the CPA Licensure Examination but also in connecting them with professional opportunities. One of the most recent success stories came from the REO Career Fair , where accountancy graduate Dominador Laderas was hired by BDO CMC right after the event.
The career fair, organized alongside REO’s October 2024 CPALE Pre-Board and recognition activities, gathered top companies looking to recruit future Certified Public Accountants. For many students like Dominador, it was the perfect opportunity to transition from student life into professional practice.
In an interview, Dominador shared his journey:
“Nag proctor ako noon for the Final Pre-Board ng October 2024 CPALE sa REO. Kinabukasan may salo-salo pa, so ang una ko lang naisip ay gusto kong kumain ng lechon at pancit,” he joked. “Pero since graduating na ako that October, I knew I had to start looking for work. Sakto may job fair rin, so nagdala ako ng CV at unang pinilahan ko ang BDO-CMC.”
Dominador recalled how smooth the application process was. He was interviewed on the spot by BDO CMC’s HR Associate and HR Director. Within days, he was scheduled for further interviews with the Tax Director and Tax Principal.
The final stages of the process aligned with a busy academic calendar. “Grabe, October 23 pa iyon, during our Recognition Day and Baccalaureate Mass, kaya na-resched pa ng October 30. After the final interview, November 5 na yung job offer discussion, and by November 11, hired na ako,” he said.
Today, Dominador is part of the Tax Department at BDO CMC, which was his goal from the start. As he celebrates his first work anniversary this November 11, 2025, he looks back with gratitude at both the opportunity and the support he received from REO.
“Ang galing lang kasi I was really aiming for the Tax Department, and now I am exactly where I want to be. My first year has been full of learning and growth. It is true what they say about BDO CMC: people helping people.”
Dominador’s story is just one of many testaments to how REO CPA Review continues to bridge the gap between education and employment, proving that success is not only about passing the CPA exam but also about building meaningful careers afterward.
