Nana korobi, ya oki.

I started my CPA journey in 2012, the same year I graduated. That October, I took my first CPA board exam-my first failure and also my first heartbreak sa exam. Sobrang baba ng grades ko, as in pwede na ibaon sa lupa. Ang hirap bumangon. It took me four years bago ko naisip ulit subukan.

December 2024 - Conditioned and I got 64% kasi sa RFBT.

On my 8th attempt, isa na lang ang subject - RFBT. I felt comfort while answering the exam and doon pa lang nasabi ko na sa sarili ko na may laban ako. And lo and behold, God answered my prayers. Finally, I saw my name in the list. Umiyak ako this time hindi dahil sa lungkot - kundi dahil sa kaligayahan. Bonus pa, I got 85% sa RFBT, a huge jump from my previous 64%.

In my 14 years of CPA journey, ang dami kong nakilala during review - and many of them naging kaibigan ko. I am truly thankfult to them for being part of this chapter. Ang daming pagsubok ang pinagdaanan. Ang dami rin luha ang pumatak. Ngunit hindi susuko hanggang makamit ang pangarap. Inaamin ko may mga kahinaan talaga ako sa accounting foundation ko. Pero instead na panghinaan ng loob, nag-strategize ako paano aayusin ang concepts. Thankful ako sa REO, kasi may detailed pre-recorded videos sila na nag-silbing library ko habang nag-rereview. Salamat din sa mastery concepts ng live lectures and quizzers. Salamat din sa reviewers na sumasagot sa mga tanong ko.

'Nana korobi, ya oki' a japanese proverbs that means 'Fall down seven times, stand up eight'. Applying to my experience, I took the exam seven times but did not pass, but on my eighth, I made it.
