REO CPALE Review Program

Shine D. De Guzman

Oct 2025 CPALE Passer

Honestly, enrolling sa REO wasn’t part of some grand plan. I only enrolled because we were required to do so as early as 2nd sem, and REO was the only review center with a program long enough to last until October — perfect para makatipid. But little did I know, that simple decision would change my entire review journey. Looking back now, I can confidently say — meant to be pala talaga kami ni REO. I don’t have a tear-jerker story to tell. I’m privileged enough to review full-time, to focus solely on my dream of becoming a CPA. But even with that privilege, the biggest adjustment for me was being away from my family. It was my first time being truly on my own, and I didn’t realize how heavy that silence could feel — until REO filled that space. My lecturers became my family while I was away from home. I still remember Sir GJ’s warmth every time I saw him. He probably doesn’t even know how much it meant to me, but every time he asked, “Kumusta ka na?” it reminded me that someone cared. Those small moments, those tiny conversations, kept me going on the hard days when homesickness and self-doubt would kick in. The rest of the REO family, from the staff to all the lecturers, made learning feel like home. Dati, I used to just memorize formulas and accounting processes. Pero sa REO, I learned to understand. Sir Rhad, for example, the way he explained Management Services made everything click. I didn’t have to memorize anymore; my hands and mind just *knew* what to do. It became muscle memory. That’s how deep the learning sank in. REO pushed me to my limits, in the best way. I never thought I could absorb so much knowledge, but they made it possible. The pre-recorded videos were also a lifesaver. Whenever I didn’t get something, I could pause, rewind, and repeat until it made sense. And during the boards, I found myself smiling because and in my head I am saying "sulit talaga lahat ng pagtyaga sa prerec". Now that I’ve reached this point, I can honestly say that REO wasn’t just my review center — it became my home away from home. They didn’t just prepare me to pass the boards, they helped me grow as a person. Because of them, I found a deeper love for learning… and maybe someday, I’d love to inspire students the same way they inspired me. Thank you so much REO Family! Ma'am Dyan and Sir Louie, sa inyo nalang po ako kinikilig! Sir Rex and Atty. Jacque, thank you for the best teaching style! Sir Vhinson and sir Karim, you made me fall in love sa FAR. I can't believe na FAR will be a favorite subject for me to study. Sir GJ, sir I owe you a lot! Tawa lang po ako nang tawa sa AT pero unconsciously na po akong natututo. And sir Ngina, sirrrr please take care of your health, nalungkot po ako sobra when I heard the news, wishing you good health sir! Ikaw po ang bias ko! Sir Lemuel at sa lahat ng staffs, thank you for your warmth. Reo number 1!
