REO CPALE Review Program

Alex D. Fernandez

Oct 2025 CPALE Passer

“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” – Isaiah 60:22 My journey to becoming a CPA was long and full of challenges. It took me 11 years , and through all the failures, delays, and challenges, one thing remained constant — REO. I graduated in March 2014, took my first CPALE in 2015, failed multiple times, worked in between, and went through several refresher courses. But I never gave up. When my last refresher was about to expire, I finally decided to take the leap — I resigned from work and committed to the October 2025 CPALE as a full-time reviewee, believing it would be my last shot. I’ve been a proud REO Baby for almost my entire journey. From the early days when Sir Rex personally visited campuses carrying his book, to witnessing REO grow into the innovative review powerhouse it is today, REO has been with me every step of the way. I’ve enrolled in nine batches — and I can truly say, I stayed because of the quality, the heart, and the consistency they give to their reviewees. REO’s zero-based approach became my foundation. Their pre-recorded videos, live lectures, QuickVids, monthly assessments, quizzers, QuickNotes, and flashcards — everything was designed to help us understand, recall, and build confidence. And of course, their topnotch reviewers and the support system they provide before, during, and after the review are unmatched. REO really has it all. There were moments I cried out of frustration, times I questioned my ability, and days I battled stress and exhaustion. Yet, through prayer and perseverance, I learned to trust God’s timing. And finally, on November 4, 2025, after years of trying, I saw my name on the list of passers. After all the setbacks, God made it happen — and REO was one of His instruments. To my younger self — we made it. Thank you for not giving up. Samgy tayo soon. Hahaha. To my REO family — thank you for being part of this beautiful journey. And to those who are still struggling to achieve their dreams: people may lose hope in you, but please don’t lose hope in yourself. Give yourself the chance to grow, to try again, and to prove to yourself that you can. I’m cheering for you. 💙
